ESSENTIAL TRAUMA COMPETENCIES

Build a trauma-competent practice by diving deeper into the origins of trauma, recognizing the signs and symptoms of trauma, and assessing the impact of trauma more effectively from the first session. The course will look at the newest research on implementing, integrating, or maximizing the use of cutting-edge brain and body-based therapeutic strategies for relieving the emotional, somatic, cognitive, and relational distress of post-traumatic stress. Lastly, the course will explore the role of the provider’s beliefs and attitudes in the successful treatment of traumatic stress to facilitate healing, resiliency, and post-traumatic growth. This class will offer 21 CEUs, four follow-up consultations, and a Core Trauma Competencies certification.
